Confident woman - nobody wants her?

Confident women don't get a man. A cliché that is widely held! On the one hand, today's man wants a woman who has her life fully under control on her own. She raises the kids, cleans the house and still has a full-time job so enough money comes in. And in the evening she beams at him in sexy lingerie: "Honey, I'm so hot for you!".

The confident woman can multitask and has already ironed before getting up. A line from a married man that has stuck with me personally.

Yet confident women are often single and wish for a relationship. Because in the end, behind closed doors: "Women are the stronger sex!"

Are men really afraid of confident women? A question that can't be answered across the board.

Is a woman without a man worth only half as much?

The single life of a confident woman without a man can still be a good one. Even if people often deny her exactly that. Partnership and relationships are worth striving for, but in life there may well be stretches where being alone is precisely what feels good. Free of obligations, if it weren't for society. In the minds of men and women the picture is clear: past a certain age, marriage and family are next. Otherwise the confident woman quickly comes across in society as hard to place.

What exactly defines this woman:

  • strong charisma
  • clear language
  • no compromises
  • knows what she wants

Women and men - not from the same planet

Gender roles have been handed out. But that is a fallacy. Today's woman needs strength and a good dose of humor to get by in life. The demands are growing from all sides. Whether at work or with the demands of the kids' school.

Attack is often the best defense here, and the warrior awakens in many a woman. Anyone who doesn't really come across as confident often loses, and then it's time to send the man out front.

But isn't that exactly what a man secretly wishes for? To be needed by the woman and to go into battle? Or is the man simply afraid of being knocked off his throne? Of having to realize that the woman gets along very well with herself.

Times have really changed. The turning point came slowly at the end of the 70s. Divorces became more common and women broke free. But that made women more confident, and some of the other sex still haven't quite come to terms with it. In the end, it's a question of how parents raise their children and which worldview they pass on.

Women are stronger than ever, and that's a good thing!
