"Men want young women" is still a common view today. But is that really still the case? Hasn't quite a bit changed? It varies, and yet something has changed!

Megan works at a phone sex line. She earned extra money there while in college. Her sultry voice delighted her callers and she was in high demand. She was Brittany, 19 years young, and she drove the men on the phone wild. Most of the men who wanted to talk to her were over 40. She fit perfectly into the cliché of men wanting young women.

To this day she believes that these men feel so young because of it, while in that very moment they are growing old and looking it. They just wouldn't understand that. What they are sold is the dream that they could end up with the busty young Brittany. Brittany with her model measurements, long blonde hair and blue eyes.

But there are exceptions, and a reversal of the trend: young men in particular are more likely to pick a more mature woman. It's developing in two directions. What might be behind this?

My name is Natalie and I spent my last vacation in Thailand. On the beach at Koh Tao I made an amusing observation. A pretty young girl. She was only about 18 years young and was walking along the beach with a phone and a phone mount. Every hair was truly perfect. She had her boyfriend in tow. He was about 25 to 28 years old.

He had to keep lifting her onto his shoulders and she posed for the phone camera. She couldn't get enough, and as far as she was concerned he wasn't even there. At some point he'd had enough and left. She hadn't actually noticed at all. Young women revolve only around themselves, and there is a big risk that the men lose interest.

A thesis that inevitably comes up: is that why young men like to look for older women? And older men, for a relationship, a younger woman?

Things are moving in every direction!

In the end, a lot is in motion. It is still rather embarrassing when, for example, on a shopping street in Zurich you see a man of about 75 walking with a young woman of maybe just 30. He carries the shopping bags from luxury labels, and you can tell exactly: she only wants the money.

Men age faster because of young women. They will hardly understand it themselves; only the view from the outside reveals it. In the end, a beautiful, honest and intense relationship needs love, and whether it comes is something only time will tell.

What is nice, though, is that today even more mature women are free to simply reel in young men.
