Women Love Men Who Can Listen

What women really want:
It's a big misconception that women are only interested in men who have lots of money, an impressive career or simply a well-trained body. That may be true at times, but for the most part it's just a cliché. Most women value a man's ability to listen attentively. And to have his own point of view ready on her topic as well. Someone who can listen already has a significant plus in his pocket.

Women want a listening ear
Lots of women (but men too) are known for always having to talk over their latest news with their best friend right away. That's completely natural behavior. The need to discuss certain topics like love, activities, current events or the hated boss comes up regularly. But many women don't only want a regular listener in their best friend. If their partner has a listening ear for his sweetheart, that's an unbeatable factor. That way the man can show interest (even if he often has none), give advice or weigh in on his girlfriend's opinion. However, in the long run he should also be honest. A little white lie now and then is perfectly okay. But if the partner senses that her partner may only be agreeing with her in the long run because he wants to escape the conversation as quickly as possible, it won't lead to a positive result.
Furthermore, it's not about constantly pushing your own point of view on your partner. Usually it's enough for the man to let his wife talk and listen attentively. Asking a question here and there shows further interest, which the woman will pick up on. Some topics may not be very exciting for the world of men in general. If the sweetheart tells him, for example, about her last girls' night out and about special shoes she wants to buy soon, the attentive listener may have to suppress a yawn from time to time. It's all the harder in such a situation not to lose the thread when your own thoughts are already somewhere else entirely. But the partner will certainly appreciate it when she has your full attention on every topic. She may well reward it soon in her very own way. Such as with a long massage or a delicious dinner!
Men who listen - interruptions make sense too
It's okay to say when it gets to be too much at some point. Even the best listener in the world needs a break at some point. However, this should be conveyed gently and tactfully so as not to disappoint your partner. A good option would be to postpone the conversation until later, such as after work. That way an intense form of "holding out" can at least be split up. If there are a few hours of break ahead, there's also enough time to reflect on what was said and think it over consciously again. That way, entirely different advice and viewpoints can come together that might not have occurred to you on the spur of the moment.
