Women prefer rich men - is it true?

Hardly any woman is honest enough to admit that this is an important factor when it comes to choosing a partner. Especially when the wish for children keeps growing. Kids cost money.

A man with money is simply easier for a relationship. He won't be squeamish about shopping, he'll be generous too and gladly pull out the credit card after dinner at a restaurant and gladly fulfill her heart's desire for the beautiful lingerie in the shop window. Life is so much easier with a man like that.

Single life isn't so easy for a woman when she ultimately has to pay for everything herself. She enjoys it when he treats her everywhere and even pays for the vacation now and then.

But despite these clichés between men and women, there's also love at first sight, where money plays no role. At first, at least, definitely not. But even that can flip in a relationship, with the woman taking on the man's role and paying for everything.

Does love or money count between women and men?

Answering that across the board would be too simple. There are women who are only after the money. They practically invest it and want a wealthy, rich man. They want to live in a beautiful house and drive a great car. In short, it's about being provided for.

But nobody can do anything against love as a rule, or can they? As a rule, love knows neither door nor gate. Still, people, and women in particular, keep choosing money.

Heart or head

Women want men with money, and love plays no role in that. But it does happen that these very women end up falling in love after all. Because men with money are mostly very confident. They've succeeded or inherited, and they know their effect on the world of women.

That's why women who are after a relationship and partnership with a man with money will also have to make an effort, because he has the choice. He's aware of that. Ultimately it also depends on his position. Because he'll choose his life partner accordingly. Does she speak several languages? How educated is she?

Often it's not enough for women to be pretty, they should also have something to offer. A good conversation partner with a sense of humor, which men love, will have the better cards in the long run.

Whether it's a cliché isn't easy to answer. But one thing is clear: women like it when men can provide for them. That lies in the evolution of humankind. The woman has the children and the man provides for the family.
